Two Copies Of XFCE Starting?

I'm running MythTV on an installation of Fedora Core 3. I've had some weird problems recently, though, where when I would try to watch a show, it would say /dev/dsp was already in use and didn't want to play the show. Looking around, I realized two copies of mythfrontend were running and this was the problem. (If I kill the first running instance, it works fine). Soon enough I figured out it's because all my ~/Desktop/Autostart/ scripts were running twice.

Looking around more, I realized that there were two copies of XFCE (and everything related) running, also. I've tried 'swithdesk'ing to KDE and GNOME, but I get the same results there. Two copies of every desktop manager I've tried are starting when I login, and I have no idea what would cause this. Any ideas?

BTW, if it makes a difference I auto-login the mythtv user. I did this through gdmsetup.

Well, I figured out that it's because of the VNC server. For some reason, VNC is starting its own copy of the desktop manager. When I connect through VNC, I don't see the same thing that's output to my TV, I get an entirely different desktop. This isn't normal, right? What can I do to fix it?
