tv problem

i'm trying to configure the tv card in my powermac 6500, it seems like it should work as the lsmod command gives me the following:
Module Size Used by Not tainted
zr36067 80964 0 (unused)
cpia 34560 0 (unused)
zoran 21988 0 (unused)

tuner-3036 3128 0 (unused)
dmasound_pmac 50648 0 (autoclean)
dmasound_core 15536 0 (autoclean) [dmasound_pmac]

mii 4496 0 [8139too]
iptable_filter 2528 0 (autoclean) (unused)
ip_tables 17328 1 [iptable_filter]
indicating that atleast some of the necessary modules are loaded properly, therfore correct me if i'm wrong but that means the hardware is properly detected?
the problem starts when i go to run mplayer with the tv option, and get a green screen with no audio
any help ?
