TV-out slackware 12

When I hook up my laptop to my TV with s-video, it works but there is distortion and wavy lines messing up the picture. It worked beautifully with slack 11, but since slack 12 (2.6 kernel, was using 11 with 2.4) it has been distorted. I have the nvidia driver version 100.14.11 working fine. any ideas? thanks

Hi are you using the same xorg.conf? Have you compared the two?

I just tried using the old xorg.conf, still the waviness. the two files are essentially the same except for the new one having comments all over the place
