Tux-paint

When I try and run tuxpaint I get the error:
tuxpaint: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL_image-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I installed SDL but that didn't help, does anyone know how I can fix this.
Thank you!

search your library directory that contains SDL (probably /usr/lib but might depend on your distro) and see if there's a lib with a similar filename. If so, make a symbolic link from the similar one to the one that tuxpaint is looking for, and try to run it again. Otherwise, you might try compiling tuxpaint yourself which should use the libs you already have installed.

I had probs with SDL libraries when installing games like .....frozen bubble, neverball and neverputt..........
all I did was type this at command line.......
Code:
ldconfig
it seemed to correct the $PATH of lib files, have had no problems since.
