trying to load mandrake 8.0

I'm trying to load mandrake 8.0 for the first time ever. This is what I'm running:

P3 933 cpu
asus cusl2c mobo (815e chipset)
win 98se

I have my hd (30 gb wd 7200 rpm) partitioned into 2 equal drives. I am booting from a cd that I made from a downloading iso image.

I get this error at the point where it says I have to choose where to install linux:

an error occurred:
ask_from_list: empty list
interactive::ask_from_listf() called from
install_steps_interactive::doPartitionDisks()called from
install2::doPartitionDisks()called from
(eval)()called from /usr/bin/perl-install/
install2::main()called from /usr/bin/runinstall2:29

Did I download or burn a bad copy?

Don't know what was wrong. It worked fine. Now, I just need to set up my network cards. Oh well, maybe after I get through all my work I've got right now.
