trying to install tcl/tk

I am tring to install Tcl/Tk on linux redhat 9.1 and i get this error:

[jason2@localhost unix]$ ./configure
creating cache ./config.cache
./configure: line 1: cd: /home/jason2/Apps/Tared: No such file or directory
checking whether to use symlinks for manpages... no
checking compression for manpages... no
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

can someone give me any suggestions how to correct this. Thanks

You don't have the gcc compiler, install it.

If you're in X, you could try running redhat-config-packages. Install the development stuff.
