trying to install SDL rpm

hey, im trying to get a game working - ' cube ', but it requires the SDL library. fine, so I went to the sdl site, and downloaded the runtime rpm... I tryied double clicking on it ( fedora core 1 ), and nothing happened, so I opened up the terminal, and went root, and tryed rpm - i SDL.x.x.x and it appears to start installing, but freezes....

here is an output from the terminal :

[xconspirisist@localhost xconspirisist]$ cd Downloads
[xconspirisist@localhost Downloads]$ su
Password:
[root@localhost Downloads]# rpm -i SDL_image-1.2.3-1.i386.rpm
