Trying to install Liquid Weather

I finally got round to installing Linux Mandriva 2006 on my PC last night, I'm dual-booting it with Windows XP.

I'm trying to get my head around some of the differences to Windows, like installing software.

I like the look of the little weather applications and the CPU usage graphs etc.

I've been looking around the internet, and it looks like I need to install Superkaramba, so I can then use Liquid Weather. I've tried doing the configure and make commands in the terminal window, but it tells me the Python-devel headers are missing.

I'm stuck on this now. I've tried searching the internet but it hasn't helped me in the slightest.

Can anyone help please?

I posted this message here first, before I realised there was a dedicated Mandriva forum. I thought I'd get a better response in there

I'm not sure if it is already installed. The whole Linux is completely new to me and it's a very steep learning curve. I've been looking at this thread which I think might answer my query.
