trying to get superkaramba at startup

hello,

i'd like to have superkaramba and two themes at start up of kde. i thought i just had to make a executable textfile with the path of superkaramba and the themes. this works fine from konsole. so i put it into the ~/.kde/Autostart. but on start up it doesn't launch the program and the themes, but kedit with this file.

so how can i get what i want?

i also want kde no longr to load the kde panel at startup, since i'm not using that, but i can't find a setting to get rid of the panel. does someone knows how to do that?

greetz,

wimbo

Create a file with the following lines in:

[Desktop Entry]
Exec=/path/to/superkaramba /path/to/themefile.theme
Name=<theme name>
Type=Application
X-KDE-StartupNotify=false

edit the Exec line to match the paths to superkaramba (usually /usr/bin/superkaramba) and your theme file and the Name line to the name of the theme

Save the file as themename.desktop in your /home/yourusername/.kde/Autostart directory and it should run on startup
