As with many other USB devices, no success with 2.4 kernels so far

You have to download ndiswrapper at scourceforge just search google. When you've got it installed you use ndiswrapper -i /path/to/driver to install it. Only one file on the CD needs to work and that's .inf file (I don't know if it's the same but for my linksys stuff it was lsipnds.inf)

How useless is the CD. Can't it be read in any way? Cause ndiswrapper only needs to read that file from it. Nothing has to be executed from the CD only read.

Ndiswrapper uses the windows driver to detect your network card. When it has loaded the driver you can communicate with the network card. Then you can modify your connection settings with the wireless-tools package (not familiair with Suse so I don't know how you have to get that). Then you should be on the net.
