i've been trying to get my dvd burner working and decided to try to install k3b on my sysetem suse 9.3 when i go to run the configure comand i get an error message your installation isn't able to compile simple c++ programs. ive red the threads on here and installed the following rpms gcc-3.3.5-5.i586, glibc-devel-2.3.4-23.i586, libstdc++-3.3.5-5.i586, and libstdc++-devel-3.3.5-5.i586 and i still get the error. also when i try to install the dvdrwtools-control-1.2-alt2.noarch.rpm i get a, failed dependaencies: control is needed by dvdrwtools-control-1.2-alt2.noarch.rpm and is asks for
/etc/control.dfacilities(control_fmode)
/etc/control.dfacilities(new_fmode)
/etc/control.dfacilities(new_help)

any one have any ideas?

after a light bulb went off in my head i relized i never installed the base progaming languages from the install cd's whent into yast2 and installed them and all the files for the dvd buring program works fine now lol
