No, not normal to have obsolete repo files, or duplicates. Please delete.
The one file, fedora12.repo, listed in post #18 will do.

i delete /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo file and keep fedora.repo?

ok, i deleted /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo file and i kept fedora.repo?
when i do :yum update

Re #12 : Yes.

Should be OK, if the only repo file is the "fedora12.repo" listed in post #18.

#18 is a complete set of two repo`s : [fedora12] and [fc12-updates].
