TrueCrypt not changing timestamp on container files

I have researched this and the answer is supposed to be "uncheck the option [ ] Preserve modification timestamp of file containers" But that does not work. I can mount, edit data on and then unmount a TC file and the timestamp on the file stays the same. I have also tried checking [ ] Do not use kernel cartographic services. No change. I am running TC 7.1a on CentOS 6.3 64 bit.

Any suggestions? This does work on Windows including a Windows VM accessing a TC file on the CentOS host via Samba. The Linux timestamp changes when the Windows machine closes the TC file.

TIA,

Ken
