Trouble with Mozilla
I installed Linux on my box and now I face some weird problem with mozilla browser. on some of the sites, it just shuts down without any error.
Has n e body faced thsi problem? I visit the same site using KDE KONQUEROR, but that doesn't shut down.

I used to get the same problem when a page contained an embedded real audio file, it is a known bug. Updating realplayer to version 10 fixes this. However I have no idea whether this is your problem.

Hi folks,
thanks a lot for your replies. I am nooB at linux and this usually takes some time for me to figure out. now i don't think its a real player problem, cos i haven't got real player installed.
it could be that the latest update is not installed on my machine. so maybe that is the real reason. i ran the up2date tool, but it tells me to update the tool.

up2date won't work cuz red hat 9 isn't supported anymore... it's a legacy distro...
you can either switch to a supported distro, or you can manually upgrade your mozilla from their website...
i recommend you give mozilla firefox a shot, most people find it a lot better than mozilla even though it's still only a preview release...
http://www.mozilla.org/firefox
good luck...

try opening mozilla from a console window. when it closes, there should be an error message in the console window.
fwiw, i'm having this same problem with Firefox segmentation faults. there's a thread about it in the Suse forum.
