trouble with jabber


hey !

I am having a major trouble with jabber, some how i can't connect to jabber internel server with linux I could connect to it with window and mac, the error message say couldn't connect to the host

But the funny part I can ping the the jabber server

Are you behind some sort of firewall which is stopping you?

Can you telnet onto the jabber server on the port it is listening on for incoming connections?

I connect with updated Kopete, all right? Try different messenger, maybe?
