Trouble with charset?
When I start the midnight commander from kde 3.2 in a console window the display is somehow faulty - the vertical & horizontal lines are displayed as boxes as if a wrong charset is being used.
Further the links in mozilla aren't underlined. Both issues ocurred after I reinstalled Mandrake 10.0 (config files on my home directory stayed the same) Does anyone know how to solve these problems? |
check out mozilla's configurations/options/prefences whatever the menu entry is called...there's an option that lets you choose whether to use the site's preferred way of showing styles/colors or to force your own will and what that is - underlined/non-underlined links, what colors etc.
I'm not sure if that's it..but at least you can see :) |
OK I've resolved the problem with midnightcommander: in the console window menu I've chosen Settings->Font->Linux (Einstellungen->Schrift->Linux).
It was set to Unicode I guess... |
