when i go to unmount my floppy drive it says it is busy. However i am 90% sure that is untrue. I am running fedora core 2. Has anyone else had this problem?
thanks for the info but that didn't seem to be the problem. It still said drive busy with no directories open. Also no programs (except for daemons) were running when i tried. That is if i remembered correctly, but if any program was open when i tried it would have been AIM, which i couldn't see being a problem.
Are you in a file browser like konqueror or nautilus which is showing the contents of the floppy or are you in a shell and in a directory of the floppy drive?
i just open the floppy from the icon on the desktop so i am not in ther terminal but i close it before unmounting. And it says fuser command not found, so i assume it is a program i don't have.
i don't seem to have a problem when mounting through the terminal. Is there a way to unmount the disk through the terminal? As of right now i have to right click the icon and select unmount, but would like to be able to do it all through the terminal
