Trouble installing Wine for RH9, need glibc

When I try to install Wine for RedHat 9, I get the following error message:

"the following package cannot be found on your system: glibc>=2.3.2-27.9.7"

Anyone wanna help out?

You can either try to upgrade glibc, which will more than likely break your computer, or install FC4. Or not use any form of RH cause of problems like this one.

Tux, I've actually been considering finding a new OS. But I like RedHat because it's easy to install and downloads come in easy to open RPM formats. Sometimes, files come in weird C++ source codes and I'm not one of the smarter people in the world so... yeah.

How's Slackware?

rpms are a mess, you should try another distro with a real packaging system. For example:
Code:
# Debian
apt-get bla

# Gentoo
emerge bla

# Slackware
installpkg bla
upgradepkg bla
removepkg bla
All three of these examples are what package management should be. RPMs...well...not so much.
