trouble installing openSUSE 10.1
 

Hi all
my pc freezes while i'm trying to install openSUSE 10.1. it gets to the point of sorting out the partitions then ceases just before you get to accept them (just before the install window appears).
i've tried it countless times and have only made it past this point once, when the install box appeared and then it froze again.
can anyone help as the lack of sleep is taking it's toll!

You didn't post any hardware info. How are people going to help you if we cant see if you have hardware that's incompatable or has a known bug?

i do appologise but i am very new to all this. i am running on a qdi a9 motherboard with a pentium 3 600mhz chip. i have three different makes of ram, two are hp and kingston. i have recently managed to get linux to work by installing it without the fancy graphics, just plain text with no mouse. it runs ok but is extremely slow. could there be issues with the hardware or is 128 meg not enough to run a semi decent system?
