What I'm really trying to do is get Xilinx JTAG working on Scientific Linux. I'm following a procedure to do this, but I'm having trouble installing some of the rpms. I tried to install libftdipp which seems to list libftdi as a dependency. But when I try to install libftdi it lists
When writing my answers and more information, I found my error. There was an extra package that only had a '1' at the end of the name to distinguish and I didn't see it. I installed that and all the dependencies fell into place.
