Trouble Installing gcc-3.2.1

Hi, im trying to install gcc ver. 3.2.1 on my system but when I try to compile it I get an error message

Code:

Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host
Created "Makefile" in the /home/scott/Desktop/gcc-build using "mh-frag" and "mt-frag"
/tmp/cNf3779/cNf3779.pos: Line 7: cc: command not found
*** The Command 'cc -o conftest -g conftest.c failed.
*** You must set the enviorment variable CC to a working compiler.

Im guessing this is because I don't have an ISO C90 Compiler, Does anyone know where I can get one? Im using the Debian Distro

Do have another version of gcc already installed? If not, install gcc using the Debian package manager, apt-get or one of the GUI front ends like synaptic. Maybe you can even find a Debian repository that has gcc-3.2.1 so you don't have to build it yourself.

I was able to get it installed from the debian package manager, thank you so much for your help
