Trouble getting xmodmap settings read on startup

Hi there,

I'm trying to get xmodmap load my settings (in ~/.Xmodmap file) during boot. In Debian Wheezy a tiny .xinitrc in ~/ worked well for me. With Debian Jessie this is not the case anymore.

I tried using /etc/xinint/xinitrc, but it did not work either.

What would be a simple solution? Can someone help? Thanks a lot.

Jessie uses systemd, which affects all init processes. You might try for tutorials here:

It really is a whole new learning curve.
