trouble connecting with people in AIM to send files.

when someone tries to send me something on AIM or YMessenger and i click yes the program shuts itself down. I am running Fedora Core 2. Could i maybe have some security function enabled that is doing this?

Do you have a firewall? Do you have a router that would be blocking that port?

i tried changing the port AIM uses to connect and that didn't work. It was using port 5190 but then i changed it to port 80. I haven't set up a firewall myself. Does Fedora Core 2 come with one preset that may be preventing the data to go through?
