Trouble Compiling RioUtil

I try to configure rioutil (a utility to use Rio mp2 players with linux), and I keep getting this error. I am running Fedora 3.

Any ideas, anyone? I am thinking that something is corrupted because when I tried to install the development tools, it said that I needed a whole bunch of dependcies / packages. So, I tried to install everyone of them with YUM and it told me that they were already installed.
