Trouble Booting!
I can't start my OS?
Last night I reconfigured my kernel to add a few modules, once I was done I restarted, but all that happened was 'LIL-' was printed on the screen and the system doesn't accept keyboard input, so the boot loader doesn't even load! Has anyone ever run into this problem before? |
Did you change your /etc/lilo.conf correctly? Did you copy new System.map to its location (usually /boot/System.map),m did you specify the righjt root device in your /etc/lilo.conf? If you dont have another kernel you can boot with you will have to use a rescue disk to boot your system and check those things.

If there is only LIL- it's not a matter of kernel. It's rather LILO problem. Was there any error you started lilo?
Boot from a floppy/installation cd, make sure that /etc/lilo.conf looks good and run lilo. |
