Tripwire local passphrase doenst work, how do I reset it?


Hello, my tripwire local passphrase does not work any more (no idea why) and I want to reset it. How can I do this? I still have the system passphrase (hopefully)

As far as I know, to change the passphrase to a new value you need to supply the old value. Do you still have text versions of the policy and config files? If so, you can generate new keys and re-create the tripwire database as long as you know the system is currently in a secure state.
