Transparent windows

ive seen screens where people have transparent windows in kde (the non-active ones.)
how do they do this? i want transparent windows!

i know that you can have a transparent terminal window ...

settings>schema>transparent for Konsole

you can also customize the font colors and tint the transparency by going to settings>configure Konsole>schema

about other windows im not sure.

The transparency in konsole is just konsole taking a snapshot of the background and makes the konsole-window look transparent (there's a cool window decoration that does the same thing to the window borders and title - can't recall the name).

Real transparency, i.e., you can see the underlying windows/applications as well, is supported by the latest (IIRC), or at least it will be soon...
