Transparent KDE Menus ?


Hi All

I am running KUbuntu 7.04 I have configured my task bar to be transparent. I would like for my KDE start menu to be transparent too..I have seen this in screenshots of desktops..how can I do that ?

Sounds like to me that the screenshots that you have seen could have been beryl, compiz, or compiz-fusion. There are options in there to enable transparency on anything. (Almost too many options)! If you're running one of those Look around in there, otherwise, I'm pretty sure there's not a way (that I know of) besides just making the kicker transparent.

You certainly can, at least with KControl in Fedora. The settings menu is different on Ubuntu w/ KDE.
Sorry, I wish I could remember at the moment, but I'm temporarily on a Windows machine.

The answer of my question is

"Menu Transparency:

Control Center->Appearence & Themes->Style->Effects->Menu Effects choose "Make Translucent"" from the link provided by steve.

I also installed compiz-beryl some really cool stuff there..the best of vista and OSX combined.
