transparency/system monitoring/osd ?
I was recently browsing and came across this screenshot, and in the upper left portion of the screen, is a system monitor app/applets, that I have been searching, and searching for since I saw the screenshot. Does anyone know what this/these app/applets are? I'm sure its a custom theme, and all, but just the app/applet name would give me a good start. BTW it isnt gkrellm.

probably gDesklets (for Gnome) or the same type of app for KDE (don't remember it's I think that's Gnome). go to their'll need to install gdesklets and some sensors/displays to make it work. imo it's nice eye candy, but useless :)

That could be something for karamba or superkaramba. Go to and go under the karamba section. There are many of these to do realtime monitoring that integrate with your desktop. Just install superkaramba and then use it to open the ones you want to use after you download them.

thanks guys/gals.. both gDesklets, and Karamba/SuperKaramba look close enough that I should be able to achieve what I want.
