It just struks on 'downloading file'....
When i checked out the preferences it says 'port closed', i'm using port no 18768....

I don't use transmission but you'll need to open a port on the machine and firewall if you have one so others can connect to your machine. Go to Transmissions web page http://www.transmissionbt.com/ and learn how to set it up.

Torrents aren't the most secure thing you can be doing with your puter. Also face legal issues perhaps.

Hi there. I would check to make sure selinux is set up to allow this if you are using it. Also, check your /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny files to make sure there isn't something configured in there that would be preventing this.

I checked them out and there was nothing except a few lines of comment. And i don't use selinux.

Okay i'll do that. But if there is a port closed on my computer itself then how come opera browser was able to use that port to download torrents?
