Translucent Gnome Panel

I installed a copy of Redhat 8.0 and I am using the Gnome desktop. I added a panel to the right of the screen and started loading it up with Launchers. Then I tried to tell the panel to become translucent. However the only options are color, pixmap, and default. What do I need to install to get translucent gnome panels?

thanks,
jpbarto
