Traffic summary

I'm looking for software that can provide me summary of traffic.
I want to know how much I upload and download per day of per hour hour.
Any ideas what software can do this?

Thanks

iptables can do simple accounting, but you'll have to dig a little into the docs or give fwbuilder a try.
