Traceroute from other machine

Hello,
I have at work a script made to initiate a "traceroute" command form another machine in another country so we can test the outside routability.
Now i have at home a Ubuntu Linux and was wondering how may i create such a script, in other words how can i command a remote machine to initiate a traceroute to a given ip?

To be more specific I need to know how can i write a script that automaticaly connects to a specific telnet server and run a traceroute to a IP adress. Thanks.

Not a direct answer to your question, but why not use the resources of traceroute.org? I mean there's lookingglasses around the world you can use. Just note the right URI and args to use and links -dump $URI...
