Tortoise svn equivalent in linux
Hi,
I've been using tortoise svn for windows (integrates into windows explorer). Is there any equivalent for linux based systems (fedora)? Can i use any Tortoise client in my linux system , so that i can access the Tortoise server available in the windows system. Thanks for ur reply. |
You can use any Subversion client to access your server. On Linux most people use the command-line client (because you can work faster that way), or the support in their IDE (Eclipse, Netbeans, etc.). The other graphical Subversion clients on Linux that I know of are RapidSVN and pysvn WorkBench.

KDESVN Works
For Ubuntu you can make use of KDESVN integrated with Nautilus to five a Tortoise SVN Feel.

The TortoiseSVN equivalent that I am using is nemo-rabbitvcs.
It looks a lot like TortoiseSVN and works in the same way: you can right-click on a folder in nemo (which is the file explorer) to do 'show log', 'commit' etc. Note that 'blame' has another name: it is called 'Annotate' by rabbitvcs. |
