Tools for detetcing memory leak in Linux

Hi,

I have a Linux system which has different applications running. All the applications are runnings as daemons (continuously).

I want to know do we have any tool which can be run on the stystem and capture the data and analyze the memory leak.

I want a tool at a system level rather which will run for 3 to 4 days and capture the data rather than chcking at a code level.

Thanks in advace.

usually there is no such tool, because it will slow down the system (or make it even totally unresponsive). A much better approach is to look at the available memory time by time, and in case of any problem you can try to identify process(es) which eat up memory.
