TOMCAT is killing me

New linux user.

Intel machine running SuSE 7.3
Installed j2sdk & j2re 1.4.1
Set path variable names

Downloaded jakarta-tomcat-4.0.6-src.tar.gz to my /usr/local DIR
http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jak...se/v4.0.6/src/

Unzipped and installed which created DIR /usr/local/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.6-src
Set path (could be incorrect)

Questions
1. startup.sh wont work - file or dir does not exist??
2. What are the other 7 files available for download & is missing them my problem?

Thanks.

Try this:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=50710

basically instead of saying startup.sh say ./startup.sh or bash startup.sh

and have the startup.sh in executable permissions. (shows green when u do ls)
