Tomcat 8 RPM for RHEL7?

Hey there -

Does anyone have any recommended yum repos for Tomcat 8 rpms for RHEL7 or Centos 7? The only thing I can find so far is the tarball from Apache Foundation, but it would be nice if I could get it in a RPM format. Not sure why Apache Foundation doesn't ship that out.

Thanks in advance.

Did you check the RHEL knowledgebase? They addressed this earlier this year, and resources are available. Since you're paying for RHEL 7, you have access to their guides/resources/RPM files.

I looked at that, but their statement about it only being part of JWS is a key obstacle, since I'm not licensed for that.

"There are currently no plans to provide Tomcat 8 as a part of RHEL 7 or Red Hat Software Collections. Tomcat 8 must be acquired for RHEL through JWS"

Let me know if I'm missing something. I just want something newer than the base Tomcat 7 that comes with RHEL7.

You could try rpmbone.
