Tomcat 4.x Installation on SuSE 10.0

I have to admit up front, I need some hand-holding when it comes to Linux. I'm a Novell guy by trial and error over the last three years and this is my first venture into Linux. I setup our company's first Linux server this week (openSuSE v10.0) and need some help getting the requirements in place for a web-based helpdesk software that we are going to deploy. It requires:

J2SE 5.0
Tomcat 4.x
mySQL 4.0 or higher

I know I have apache running after playing with YaST a little because I can get to the sample page. My next step is to get Tomcat running, but apparently I need a very step-by-step explanation of how to do this. Can anyone point me to a place to get very detailed instructions for these types of things? I've seen documentation for mySQL and it seems very easy to follow, but the Tomcat stuff is much less complete in my eyes (or it takes much more Linux knowledge for granted). Thanks!

There area bunch of tutorials and how tos for installing Tomcat. As for J2SE and mysql, a quick search here or on google will turn up lots. I disagree that the tomcat docs aren't complete. Have you been to their site?

I guess in my three or four times digging for just this information, I did not locate this set of documents. Do you know if this is fairly compatible when trying to install 4.x? Just hoping that I don't need to make a lot of assumptions when making this work. Thanks for the link!
