i got rc.local effectively running, looking at the log self generated,
but i did not obtain to have what i desire.
i also tried to change the sequence number in the link of rc.local script in rc2.d (using runlevel 2) but the effect is the same.
i rename S99rc.local in S999rc.local, and this time no log was generated.
i want to not believe that there is no way to know which id the real sequence of starting script and modules ..
i need to restart alsa after boot, the point is to launch the rc.local script after alsa is loaded at boot.
how to do it???
thanx

can you execute "alsa force-restart" manually and does it have the desired effect?

if yes, have you entered the line exactly as described here to one of your startup scripts?

Yes. if i run alsa-force restart after i have logged in i get what i want.
the point is that i dont get this effect automatically during booting.
another observation is that is a rename S99 link in S999, during booting no sound device is generated. alsa is not loaded.
after that Im still at start point ...
