TNS: lost contact

Hi all,

After 36 hrs of pure challange I managed to install Oracle 8 on Redhat 9.

Now when I try to use sqlplus with any username/password except nologin it gives my the following error:

relocation error: /usr/oracle/lib/ undefined symbol: __fixunssfdi
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact

Could anybody please tell me how can I work this out.
