TKInter, Python and A Pack Of Crisps

Well, the first two, anyways...

I'm currently trying to install Python 2.3 on to my totally clean RH9 system. Unfortunately, I cannot run IDLE once it is installed, as the module _tkinter is missing. I was wondering how I could fix things up, as I am looking to do quite a bit of programming in what remains of the holidays.

Cheers,
Daniel

I've installed python using the sRPM off python.org. However, I am not sure how to add tkinter to this (using the RPM off the site). Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Dan

I did look at rpmsearch and there are tkinter rpm's.Don't know how those going to play with the python you got though.Give it a shot and open a new thread if there is a problem - I didn't use rpm's for 2 years and forgot all about them since - thank god!
