With word out that Tivo software will soon be running on Comcast (Motorola) HD DVR boxes and Cox cable as well as all the standalone Tivos, is anyone working on writing some applications that work on linux? Right now it appears that although you can get the files off the tivo with linux the really good stuff is restricted to Windows users and some for Mac.
I am not referring to hacking to bypass the Tivo software, I know this is already possible, but rather working with current Tivo software for Tivo2Go and other Home Media Options, for viewing files and pictures on your Tivo that reside on the PC.
Is there any linux development going on or is this just another idea that only Windows and Mac users believe is worthwhile?
