Tip: sick of Firefox 3.6 opening new tabs to the right of the current tab?
Hi, found this today,
To stop Firefox 3.6 opening new tabs to the right of the current tab, and return to "open new tab to the far right of all tabs", follow this handy link to themodernhippy.com for an easy fix (step-by-step tutorial). http://male.themodernhippy.com/techn...ps-and-tricks/ cheers, and happy browsing. Regards Glenn:D |
I'll say thanks.
I didn't download it yet so I was unaware it did that. Wonder if it was planned bug? |
Aparently, something to do with chrome standards (google)
It's been said before, "I thought FF was the leader, now it seems Mozilla is following Google's lead", no reference. |
I've noticed "Chrome" directories installed by FF. On the other hand I've switched to the Chrome beta almost exclusively on my main macine. It took a little getting used to, but it's nice.

That's great! I found that feature very annoying and I'm glad that there's an easy way to turn it off.
So you're saying theat Chrome is now making browser "standards"? If only there was a way to make tabs go on multiple rows instead of scrolling... |
I never looked into it's purpose, but, so far as I recall, there's always been a "chrome" directory in the .mozilla/firefox/<user>/ directory.
Code:
$:ls .mozilla/firefox/7vq2zkxt.default/chrome/ |

Great tip,thanks Glenn.

Personally, I like the new way. I used to open a bunch of tabs then go to the end one and start closing from there. So this new way is easier, I don't have to scroll over to the end anymore.
