tiny font GAIM
Well, I installed Slack9 and gaim came with it. I use gaim even though KDE is my wm because Kit is a piece of crap comparitively. The problem is that when I load gaim through KDE the font is really tiny, unreadable tiny (rendering it useless). At first I thought maybe it would help to upgrade gaim to 0.62, but no dice. I thought that KDE could be overriding GTK's default fonts, so I turned that off (in themes + appearances, color) but that didn't work. I tried changing KDE's fonts and all nothing. The text is still tiny. The one thing I can tell you is that even though I'm sending text that appears tiny to me, it is normal size (12 I suppose) to the people on the other end....Can anyone figure out what's up?
P.S. -- it worked right off in RedHat 8... |
You'd need to edit the GTKRC yourself, as KDE doesn't implement the xsettings protocol which tells widget toolkits how to look
