Tinn-R Look-alike

I just switched to Ubuntu from Windows, and I am looking for a program that will function like Tinn-R did (Tinn-R is, sadly, only for Windows). I tried installing ESS, but I find it clunky and hard to manage compared to Tinn-R.

Perhaps Tinn-R will run with Wine, but before I try, I was wondering if there were any programs that will run natively instead. (I've found that running programs natively always seems to work better than using Wine).

I am not an R expert, but Kate does have R syntax highlight an a terminal on the bottom, so you can probably use R runtime using it. After a 5 second look at the screenshot, I think it should be a nice replacement.
