timestamp/datestamp in Leafpad?

Can Leafpad make a timestamp or datestamp, as KWrite can (which is done by pressing F7 + "DATE" + ENTER)? In Leafpad, F7 apparently makes the cursor invisible and nothing else; and its help menu contains nothing but the program description and the author and copyright information.
