tilp program not working

i recently installed (tried to install) tilp on my system. tilp is a tool used to connect to ti caluclators. but the gui isn't working, it says it can't find the folder /usr/lib/tilp, but none of the installation commands failed... anyone have this program? the version is 6.77, anyone think an older version would be less bad?

First, you should have the correct modules installed for the link you use (serial, parallel or usb).

Second, you should configure the right calculator in TiLP.

Third, you should first try to run it as root (su). If that works, then there is a permission problem (I have this too, so I always run TiLP as root )
