tightvnc from an Icon??

I have tightvnc running and can initiate it from a command line on the console. I would like to run it from an Icon on the desktop. I have been told to move it to the desktop menu and then create an Icon for it and move it to the desktop and then set the Icon. I have created an Icon ready to use & tightvnc does run from command line. BUT...I haven't the foggiest idea how to move it to the desktop menu. Any suggestions???

If you are using Gnome you can create a launcher and then specify the command to run the program and the icon you wish to use. You can do this in the menu or on the panel click "add to panel" then create new launcher. I am sure you can do something similar in KDE or whatever Desktop Environment you are using. Hope this helps.
