TIF Viewers for Linux
Hello,
Does anyone know of good imaging software for Linux that I can use to view TIF files? I have efaxes come through that I wind up having to reboot into Windows to view. I'd really like to just view it in Linux if there is support for it. Thanks. |
GIMP.
Its probobly alread installed. I also like Eye Of Gnome (launch with "eog"). |
Thanks, I tried that, but I still cannot view the entire file. I can view the first page of the faxes but nothing else. Weird, huh?

Well, I was thinking of regular TIF images. If they use some sort of special format, I cant help you.
But have you tried the GIMP? Its probobley got the best capabilities of all. If you're desparate, you could grab a development version of the gimp (gimp.org) as they are much more advanced. |

GQViewer is awesome! Excellent image viewer, and moves well into an editor if the need arises. Cool |
Hi,
Thanks but I was actually able to view the images using the built in Fax viewer program. It works fine for my needs. However, my printer is weird about one thing. I'm sure you know that faxes always have a heading at the very top of the page, well my printer will not print that no matter what I do. It's not that important but it would be nice to have. Any ideas of how I can get that heading to print on the hardcopies? I've adjusted the print margins and all of that and nothing seems to work. |
