Tidy? Which version to get and how?

When I launched Quanta 3.5.4 that comes bundled with Fedora Core 6, it says I need to install Tidy for HTML syntax checking. When I go to http://tidy.sourceforge.net, I can see a very old version from 2000, which does not install properly. I browsed the CVS but I am clueless which files to get. Can anyone guide me how to get the latest version of Tidy?

Thanks a lot.

The most recent tarballed version of tidy is from 26-Oct-2005 23:58
I don't know where or how you found 2000. Anyway - what does
"does not install properly" mean?

Cheers,
Tink
